but the router has got nothing to do with the local net. it is a simple router with build in 4 port 10/100 switch. so on the lan side it does nothing other than acting like a switch... plus i already tried replacing the router with a simple hub.
now i got desperate and installed debian. this works perfectly :S
those lines you just showed are for an interface named 'loc' however i defined an interface as net and not al loc in my policy file. the other example that was posted here is for a 2 interface system. one interface named net and the other loc.
and i only got one NIC, so that it switches it can't be the problem.
That's what I've been saying .... Debian is so much better .... For desktop, Ubuntu is the best.
