Question squid doesn't read local hosts file, why?

    hi,
my squid doesn't read the local hosts file(/etc/hosts or win32 c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts), why?
i need this, to redirect some site to my local web server.

    thank you.

    i'm running squid 2.5 stable9, delay-pools-enabled compiled option.

That's the content of your /etc/hosts file. It's NOT /etc/host.conf file. You need to check /etc/host.conf file's content.
