I think we should create a minimal, static slash page with the old logo and stuff and a brief paragraph explaining the merger. There would also be a link over here to OpenFree.Originally Posted by trickster
What are we going to do about the Linux Junior Splash Page? It is currently unmaintained, and I believe might disuade people from coming into the forums because it looks abandoned. Do we need still need to keep it? If we keep it, can we update it? If we drop it, where will it redirect to?
What do you guys think?
My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive.

I agree with CGA. Once we can get LJR replaced with OpenFree in the Google pagerankings, then we can either abandon the whole ljr domain or have it flat out point to openfree.
Yeah, that's the good idea.Originally Posted by cga
Or the automatic re-direction would work best. I thought Peter had it that way but I guess it was just forum page that had redirection to OpenFree.
I left the LinuxJunior pages up because of the PETs. Once they are migrated I'll create the redirect splash page.
You can see a sample at www.linuxfoo.org.
Let me know if you'd like to see any modifications to it.
The LJ could be put there very easily.
