Are you talking about GPL FTP programs for Windows? Or Linux?
I use FileZilla: http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/ on der Windows. On Linux I usually use SCP or rsync, but I occasionally use KBear (http://kbear.sourceforge.net/), but it has some odd quirks.

I thought I was posting under Windows forum.
Okay, I will check out filezilla.
On Linux, I usually use gftp for FTP or even over SSH. I try to avoid plain text logins at all costs.

Sorry, didn't see the forum topic. I suppose that would have answered my question. I just clicked the thread off the main page. So yeah, check out FileZilla.

Filezilla Client works very nicely on Windows and Linux systems as well. I have it on my OpenSuse machines as well as my Windows XP machine too.
agreed okieman46, its simple, and it works very nicely!

Agreed, the fact that FileZilla is cross-platform gives it major marks in my book. I have to admit that when I first heard about it I was quite skeptical, since it was based on wxWidgets. Either layout is very difficult or mind-numbingly easy in wxWidgets, because every app I have encountered based on it has had a very sloppy interface. Audacity was based on wxWidgets, but then moved to wxGTK a close cousin. They have cleaned up the interface considerably since they started but I think it still need a bit of work.
