coltrane's preemptive home remedy # 12 :

get a couple of those large peppermint candy sticks (the size of a child's first pencil for all of you youngins) and put them in a large mason jar. find the strongest clear liquor you can find (ahem moonshine if you have it) and pour it into that mason jar until its 75% full. seal the top and place it in a cabinet where the kids cant get to it.

once a week, shake the jar a little and then return it to its location in the cabinet where the kids cant get to it.

after about a month, it should be good to go. make sure you store in a cabinet where the kids cant get to it.

cures any cough, cold, flu, or headache you may have.

warning: do not consume before driving, operating machinery, or anything that requires rational thought. arguing with a loved one, watching Faux News, or sleeping are the only things that you will be capable of doing. Also, do not attempt to perform any task as a super-user on a Linux/BSD/OpenSolaris Operating System...you have the ok to work on a Windows box though. And dont drink the entire jar either. what are you nutts?
