Hard Disk get full in time with log files or so

Please am new to linux, If i do install linux on my network and configure squid inclusive and mrtg to monitor my Network CPU resource including Hard Disk, my Hard Disk get full in time with proberly log file and cache file. I have to reformat and reinstall linux always, I use 20G I even tried 40G Hard Disk and at logrotate i set it to rotate once a week and also the logrotate for squid log file still my Hard Disk get full in time.
Please I need help on how to handle this so that my logs and other files delette thierselves without /var space in my harddisk geting increase to ifinity.

you may want to increase the rotate frequency and if not done already, set the compress option

# see "man logrotate" for details
# rotate log files weekly
weekly
# keep 4 weeks worth of backlogs
rotate 4
# create new (empty) log files after rotating old ones
create
# uncomment this if you want your log files compressed
#compress

I also wonder if mrtg is filling up your /var.

Man, you'd be crazy if you log everything with MRTG. Even for a few hours of logging, it fills up my disks pretty quick. Other than that, I'd second what Outlaw said.
