@ talbot .. I was wondering you have a lot good quality windows software but you still want these products to run on linux?
I just want to know why? Since if you can afford to these softwares then win OS is just a fraction of its price....
Has anybody tried running everest accounting software over linux? Im using Fedora Core 3.
Or Micros Fidelio clients over linux. or any acounting software that are windows-based?

Everest is long been used in the office. The company is planning to migrate the workstations from windows to linux. It seems they haven't considered the application. I need some inputs so i can have it justified later on.
If the company is migrating things over, why stay with Everest? ... and not move to a Linux based accounting software suite. I read a few months ago on Linux Weekyly News of a great piece of accounting software for Linux. I just can't recall the name off the top of my head.

you can look over it at google...
i don't think they would just easily give up a 1M software. But i dont also understand why they are that obssessed with the migration. Hay...you know sometimes, those up there on the higher seats don't consider the technical issues.
Thanks for the input anyway. I really appreciate it.
