    Login to GAIM as AWAY!

This is probably a very simple thing to do. But i cant seem to find out how.

I thaught maybe Loading it with something like

    gaim --Start-away

    or something like that.

I always have to wait until i log onto yahoo, msn and Aim then i have to set myself as away. I woulkd love it if it would log in then go away on its own.

    Any help would be appreciated.

btw ium using Ubuntu Hoary if that makes a dif.

    Code:
    ~> gaim -w
    should do the trick:
    ~> man gaim
    ....

    -w, --away[=MESG]
Automatically go away on signon. You may optionally use the
MESG parameter to set the away message.

    I doesnt work.

    I tried

    gaim -w

    then i did a

gaim -w, --away[="Im not here at the moment! "]

then i sat there thinking if it was gonna work, i know it didnt because in AIM i have added myself to check, and i was not AWAY.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    The usage would be:
    ~> gaim --away="I'm gone at the moment"&
The man page description is telling yuou, in order to produce the default away message, use -w, if you need to add an additionel away message, use teh --away flag, with =reason to set the away message as reason.
