I formatted the entire drive... the problem was solved already. the cause of that problem is I installed the linux bootloader to MBR. I just boot the PC using a boot CD the run the command "fdisk/mbr" then reboot the PC.
You need to fix the the mbr. Boot using your Windows CD and use the recovery console to fixmbr.

quick question, can one pc have both Windows and Linux installed in it? how to choose which OS to use? thanks...super newbie here. :P
Yes. Easier would be to have two partitions. Install Windows first on one partition, and then install Linux on the other. The Linux install will setup the bootloader that will allow you to choose which you want to boot.Originally Posted by [a
