There are no Slackware specific guides out there since they almost all deal with iptables. There are iptables guides out there. Do an "iptables tutorial" search at http://www.google.com/linux.

You may also be interested in programs that automate the creation of rules for you. A tool I personally like is Firewall Jay at http://firewall-jay.sf.net or gShield at http://muse.linuxmafia.org/.
