Oh, and on this topic:
Anyone with an XBox 360 needs to go get Fight Night Round 3. Awesome.

Boxing here is boring. I like to see Asian boxing matches. You can kick everywhere except torso area and use everything (hand, knee, leg) plus no gloves.Originally Posted by Schotty

Actually, it's only Americans who call it soccer. The rest of the world call it football.american soccer (too boring compared to the superior non-us version).![]()

With soccer I am a "wagonist", whenever the World Cup comes around I get on the band wagon and start cheering for all the underdog teams. Even in the final match.
The tournament is this year, so we could set up an open poll at each stage to see who we all think will advance to the next round. It could be fun for everyone and could also be extended to other sports.
Sounds good? It may be worth creating a random polling sub-forum if the community likes it.
I'm not sure how many will like Soccer but .....
I'm thinking of getting a dish which can capture European and Asian programming without subcription for $219 at Surpluscomputer. If you have the dish and need only decoder, it is 159 I think.![]()

Hi All,
A co worker showed me a tidbit here on Open Free so I just had to navigate on over and sign up. Just getting ready to set up a syslog server and plan to use syslog-ng. Once the ACL's are in place I'll be ready to fire things up and give it a try.
I've worked with Unix off and on since 1990. HP, Sun, AIX. I've played with Linux, but never for real work. Now I'm admining a number of Linux servers that run huge Oracle DB's. ....and I'm enjoying the heck out of it. Glad I found this site.
Since you all were talking sports, I was wondering what you thought of the Winter Olympics that just ended? Some of the snowboarding and skiing were cool. But otherwise it was a snooze to me. How about you?

I installed ArkLinux 1006.1rc2, and I am looking for a book, or a person who would be patient enough to hand-hold me, through the installation of some software I downloaded.
I have some very old books on Linux, and they were very helpful in getting me this far, but they don't help at all as far as software installation.
My background is Windoze and OS/2 (yes, some people still use it)![]()
Thanks
I personally don't like holding hands but ..... if you have some specific questions, post away and we can help you get to the right direction (without hand holding ofcourse) ....
