    Hi,

I am actually new to this community but I am a big fan to opensource and especially linux applications and distros. That's why I feel that becoming part of this community will get me to meet alot of people who have the same interests as me.

I am so glad to be part of the team.

Old dog looking for something new to obsess with. I've used VxWorks extensively at work but that's as close as I've ever come to Unix/Linux. Just setup a Ubuntu server and a separate Ubuntu workstation to develop embedded Linux applications for my AMD Elan520 processor-based rover robot. I've bitten off way more than I can chew but that's kind of how I roll.

Question: Which PDF eBook contains the website content. The example TOC shows chapters 25-up. I can read the website but a hardcopy of chapters 1 - 24 would be awesome. Take my money!

    Thanks!

Hi everybody! My name is Tim and I'm very new to Linux. I started really using it about 2 months ago, but had tried it several years ago with much frustration and little success.

It really seems to have made leaps and bounds over the past few. I have tried 15 or so distributions over the last few months, and the Linux Live Usb creator is a great program for that purpose. I settled on Slackware for my favorite and have it dual booted on my laptop and running headless on my old P4 home file server. It's been quite rough at times, but it is very stable and I love that I'm able to customize ALL aspects of my desktop.

I look forward forward to an interesting time!
