Repair install 9.2 pro

Is their any way to do a repair install to put it back the way it was when I first installed it.
It is 9.2 pro and I have the CD,s and the DVD,s.
The reason I am asking is I have been doing a lot of experimenting and have ****ed it up completely.
As I do not want to lose all my work is this possible.

It's OK I have just been reading the manual and there is a section on repairing it. :'(
