    License question

    What type of license does BSD use? Is it of the type Linux uses? Such as free as in "Free beer?" Or is it simply just an Open Source license?

    Re: License question

    Sorry for the REALLY late reply to this...

    The BSD flavors use the BSD license. It's more free than GPL because it doesn't have as many restrictions. I think the free software foundation has a comparison of the different licenses.

    ++duh for SkyNet :P

    BSD licenses are popular, Also check out the zlib license - Cube uses zlib for instance.

    Re: License question

    Cube was removed from that gaming live distro so I wonder if that zlib license has an issue.
