Hi Guys!
I bought the ATI Radeon 9550 a few days ago, and now I would like to get Debian installed with it.
As install option I chose bf24, X -version says:
Code:
warning: process set to nice value 0 instead of -10 as requested

If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is
newer than the above date, look for a newer version before
reporting problems. (See http://www.XFree86.Org/FAQ)
Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.9-rc1 i686 [ELF]
Module Loader present
First I tried to install the drivers as ATI wants it to be installed, but (of course) it didn't work.
So I followed Aragon's Guide, but it does not work for me either.
/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod# sh ./make.sh says:
Code:
ATI module generator V 2.0

Error:
XFree86 drm includes at /usr/src/linux/include/../drivers/char/drm do not fit this driver.
This driver is designed to only work with X4.1.0 or higher.
You can match this by getting Linux kernel 2.4.8 or higher.
Right now I'm using VESA as Device, but I'm not happy with it. Can you help me to conquer this terrible affliction?
Regards
