Well it's nice to see a new face here, but as far as the post, I'm skeptical considering it's coming from Yoper.
As for my personal preferences. Give me BSD init anyday.

just downloaded yoper ! gonna give it a try altho i dont believe its faster then slack ;D !
hear bad things about yoper developers not beeing nice to community.. whats up with that? anyone know?
I am skeptical, but I would almost go as far as calling it BS. Of course, if the test is done by Yoper, their distro will come out on top. Hell, that is why MS sponsored studies conclude that Linux is more expensive than Windows. I would like to think that if it were so fast, we would have seen it on Slashdot or something. Hell, this post reads like an advertisement, not someone that is new to the boards (most new guys speak like a regular person..." Hey, first time here, I was cruising around and found this article, what do you guys think?"... Just the way this is worded makes me wonder...
I don't know, maybe living in California has made me cynical, but...

I've tried suse8.2 redhat9 mandrake9.1 and Knoppix. Istill consider myself a newbie. I just tried Yoper about 2 weeks ago. It will remain on my hd. It is faster than all the above. Also, installed it/removed it 4-times! in about 20 pc minutes. I think it therefore is comparable with knoppix although it is not a "live cd"
The competition though as "Yoper" say's, is not with linux, it's with microsoft.
"We're not at war with linux. We are at war with microsoft"
Also, it is Totally free. Free OS ,Free Support, Free Upgrades.
hmm, probably worth a try. Slashdot has posted about it. People still seem to like Gentoo though:
