I'm soooo hanging for the next Slack, anyone know when a new one is expected? Last full distro release on their site is a while back now.

I'm waiting just like you. My goal is to get this Gentoo box moved over to the next Slackware release when it's avaliable. I was just reading the changelog, and it just recently had the 2.6.6 kernel source, and headers added to it. However it has a warning added to it. Something about the 2.4.x kernel is better used for the glibc version that is currently in it.

This probably means this upcoming release is going to be a 2.4.x standard version. So Slackware won't see full 2.6.x support till later. This is speculation on my behalf though.

10 is here for those of you who can use bittorrent. It never works quite right for me. None of the ftp sites in the US have the ISO's yet. I'll wait for those.

Sorry to hear that gaxprels. I can help you with BT later if you'd like. It's really a piece of cake. A little firewall work here, and little Azureus work there, and BAAM. Slackware 10 at your door. You'll need to get on IRC, or IM one.

I found a mirror with the latest and greatest ISO's but not from the "getslack" link at the homesite. Instead, you have to follow a link for mirrors in the release announcement on the front page. Grabbed the 2 install disks and will grab the other 2 cd's later. I'll probably upgrade the IRC server within a couple of weeks
