I have an HP pavilion ze4125 laptop that I use as my main machine. I have to have Windows XP on it for various reasons related to school (foremost among them the need to use Visual Studio for certain classes I'm taking.) Given that the partition was already formatted as NTFS when I first ran it (didn't ask me to convert it from FAT32, so they set it at the factory) I didn't have the option to resize it with free tools. I have found free tools since I got this machine, but I've defragged the drive a few times before I found them, and with NTFS, the defrag program puts information at the end of the partition... meaning resizing is now next to impossible without commercial tools that I'm not willing to buy
Therefore, I've done a LOT of testing of various Live CD distributions over the last year or so, and was thinking about doing a review of each for people interested in learning about them. Would anyone be interested in this? or should I not bother lol. A list of the distributions I have tried and will be willing to review over the next however-long-it-takes follows:
Lnx-BBC
Knoppix
Gnoppix
DamnSmallLinux
SysRecCD
Slax
Feather Linux
Gentoo Live (2.6 kernel)
Keeper Linux
Slackware Live (this is what Slax use to be called, so it's just an older version of the previously mentioned distro)
MandrakeMove
Demo Linux
ThePacketMaster
F.I.R.E.
Biatchux (this is what F.I.R.E. use to be called...)
LinuxCare BBC (bootable business card...)
I believe I have others, but can't think of them off the top of my head... if I dig them up, I'll add them to the list. Also, if anyone has one they'd like me to review that I didn't list, I'll gladly try it (as long as I don't have to buy it) and write up a review.
Again... if noone's interested, I won't bother lol.

If you give a man a fire he'll be warm, if you light the man on fire he'll be warm for life.
i can get you a *legal* copy of partition magic 5, which should be able to resize it, if you want to...

Well, I was going to offer a copy of Partition Magic 8, but alas, the copy is not legit, and would be SO unethical.... yeah....
