In what could easily be mistaken for an Onion story, Microsoft has unleashed the full fury of its lawyers on 17-year-old Canadian high-school student, Mike Rowe, demanding the handover of his Internet domain.
The domain? MikeRoweSoft.com. No, seriously.

Yea with a name like that, i'm thinking that this is not real.
www.mikerowesoft.com is a real website, rather or not m$ threatend him, iduno..
but my friend recently got threatened for ibdu.com because it was too close to ibd.com. and i assure you, that WAS real.
Well I can see it from Microsoft's point of view.... oh wait, I really can't - they are just being nuts here.
This reminds me of when McDonalds sued the owner of a hotdog stand here (he named his hotdog stand McAllan since that was his nickname - apparently from an incident involving to much Scottish Whiskey....) ---- AND THEY WON...
So it wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft wins this one, it's corporate etics in all it's glory.

naming your company after your name is perfectly legal. even if it is close to another company. so, his webdesign company is called MikeRowe Soft, which is legal. now McAllan probobly wasnt his name, just like ibdu wasnt my friend's name.
just how it is.
