Does anyone know if it is possible to view QuickTime stuff, using Opera on a Linux box?

    with quicktime?
you can either install quicktime with wine/crossover
or use xine or mplayer with the quicktinme libs
if you are using mplayer, yuo can install mplugger (i think) and it will handle running mplayer.

Unsure how to put the plugin into opera though.. maybe have a look around their sire docs

The flash plugin for netscape works in Opera... as I found out, so maybe the netscape [assuming it exists] would also work, as Opera comes iwth a "proxy plugin for netscape 4 plugins" defaultly in linux

The mplayer-plugin is for Mozilla though. Although it's based off of Netscape, or the other way around depending on how you want to look at it. We're still talking about 6.x+ so the Netscape 4 support might not be enough.

    Good Times...
Hey babbing.. that mplayer plugin, is it for netscape 4 or 6 or just mozilla or what? Would help in knowning what plugins cross over to opera, in both linux and windows

    Re:Linux, Opera, and QuickTime

i am not sure, but mplayer tries to be compatible with everything, so i wouldn't be suprised if it is netscape 4 compatible. I am not sure since i just emerged it and it worked ;D
