I dont HAVE to use Mandrake, I would be willing to try something else, if you have any suggestions...

Set your essid on eth1 to default.....I bet you that is your problem. Everything else will look right, but if that isn't set it will never work.

That says ESSID = "" so if it is supposed to be set to any set it, but from what I found on google it was supposed to be default.

    Re:Mdk 9.2

It is weird because I had set it to any and it did say any in some iterations...

When I hooked it up wired last night, I downloaded all the updates and it messed up the menus...very odd.

I was thinking about going back to 9.1...but I am also interesed in trying something else. What Distro do you use/reccomend?

Well how do you rate your expertise. I love Debian/Libranet(this is a simpler version of debian). I am only going to recommend an apt-get system. I think it is much more efficient than rpm.

GRRRRRR I don't know what to tell you anymore then...have you used just the default drivers that came with MDK or have you installed the netgear drivers?

Yeah, I feel the same way. When I first installed 9.0 I had some problems, but I figured it out...but I really dont remember what exactly I did. When I put 9.1 on, it was very easy.

I would be interested in trying Debian...do you think I could get the wireless card up to do the download as you go install?

What is the best way to get Debian...I tried jigdo, but I cant seem to find a url that works...if I download the full CDs...how many do I need...or can I get a network install image?
