ch0c0b0 insulted me once, saying that no one that works at walmart knows anything, when at the time i worked at walmart, but whatever, i know exactly where he is coming from because in general that is true :P
Actually I don't think Aaron Adams was pissed off, just that he got a real job.
JimH, and Spot were none to happy though.
I would like to see ch0c0b0 come back though.

In all honesty, though, it is not only true for walmart, but people in general. There are many people I see every day, and all I can think is "How in the hell have you managed to stay alive this long...?".

Well I have removed 12 more users that have been inactive for 60 or more days. I am going to continue to do this on a regular basis. So we need activity atleast once every two months. Our active members won't have any problem with that. But I am going to keep the board limited to active members only. I am not planning on allowing anonymous posting, so they will have to register. So if they aren't serious about getting an answer then they won't even register.

I think that is a good idea. Just don't let it get to you if you find that there are many people that just post once then are never heard from again. I saw alot of posts this morning when I was scouring the BBS for an answer (hoping that it was already on the board somewhere) where folks would just come in once then never be heard from again. Many even posted a problem, then when they received an answer, never even replied to the answer, almost as if they never even came back to see if there was help waiting for them. I am not as active on the linux side anymore, usually just on the news and rants side. Most of my questions are really basic things, and I don't want to burden the folks here, so I am trying to 'RTFM' myself before subjecting the boards to newbie questions (even though I have dealt with it for about a year, my jumping from distro to distro is not helping me learn too much...)

That is actually counter productive though. You can still look, but we need those questions. This is a newbie board, so if you ask a newbie question, chances are other people have that question too. Go ahead and find the answer yourself if we don't catch it first, then you answer it yourself. That is the best way for this board to work.
