    Re:who overclocks?

I've done it before on a K6-2 350@450, and it ran stable for about a year or better, before I had to declock it back to 350. It's still running strong though even after the overclock.

I don't really have intentions to overclock CPUs of today considering they are fairly cheap to buy. Although I might overclock the Barton 2500+ considering it would be better then buying a 2600+ Tbred. That's the only exception for me though.

    Re:who overclocks?

My old K6 350 would run at 450 for a while, but then it just didn't seem like it was doing okay after a while. Luckily, a fauly power supply took that chip and board out, so I had a reason to upgrade.
The XP I am running now clocks stock at 1.83Ghz and is now running at 2.29Ghz, with no problem what so ever. The only thing I had to do was increase cooling a bit. I bought a ThermalTake Volcano 7+ for it, and I still only use the low speed on the fan, instead of the medium or high. I have yet to even adjust the core voltage for stability. I think I really lucked out with this chip. Of course, even though I have that luck, I am not going to push it, as then I may fry the chip, then buy one that gives me 50Mhz of headroom
