I just the post that is a few lines down from this one, and that answered some questions, but what about the uninstall?
When I installed RH9, I did a full install, just for grins, to see what was available. Now, I am looking to thin out my software inventory, and am going to remove some stuff. If the things I remove are started at boot, will the system still try to start them and give me an error, or will it update upon the removal? Also, what is this 'crond' or 'crontab' thing I have seen? I saw that it is used on a webserver for task scheduling. What about on a local system? If so, that might be interesting...

You just have to love things that are supported by any random person in the world, versus by a company that is concerned only with money...![]()
