Its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you havent done :P
do you have any other wms that you could try it in?
what about running it from a terminal?
whatdoyougetwhenyoumultiplysixbynine??
Yeah, start it from a terminal so we can get an error message.
AMD Athlon 2200+ 1.8Ghz
1280MB PC-3200 CAS2.5 RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB AGP
Western Digital WDC WD2500JB-00FUA0 250GB 7200 rpm ATA/133
Seagate ST3200822A 200GB 7200 rpm ATA/133
Western Digital WDC WD1200BB-00CAA1 120GB 7200 rpm ATA/133
Western Digital WDC WD800BB-00CAA1 80GB 7200 rpm ATA/133
Maxtor OneTouch 2HA43R32 1TB 7200 rpm USB 2.0
D-Link DFE-530TX+ 10/100 NIC
D-Link DWL-G520 Rev.A
Debian 5.0r1 Lenny
Ok more info - in the terminal nothing happens, if i type mozilla it just hangs.
I did an updatedb then locate mozilla
There was a /usr/bin/mozilla
i used pkgtool to remove the mozilla pkg then installed it again off the CD
Same thing happens?

How long have you left it running before you decided to close it out? It takes Mozilla a little while to start-up. Perhaps an ldconfig might help. Have you tried to run it as root to see if it's a user problem?

what is an Idconfig ?
Its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you havent done :P
sometimes it is just flat out amazing some of the things that jim knows, that was a very rare command
It's Ldconfig written as this: ldconfig if you were to type it into the terminal.
Straight from the man page:
ldconfig is used to prepare a set of ``hints'' for use by the a.out run-time linker ld.so to facilitate quick lookup of shared libraries avail-able in multiple directories. ldconfig is only available on systems that use the ``a.out'' format for executables and libraries - on ELF systems, all the work is done by ld.elf_so.
By default, it scans a set of built-in system directories, directories listed in /etc/ld.so.conf, and any directories specified on the command line (in the given order) looking for shared libraries and stores the re-sults in the file /var/run/ld.so.hints to forestall the overhead that would otherwise result from the directory search operations ld.so would have to perform to load required shared libraries. The shared libraries so found will be automatically available for loading if needed by the program being prepared for execution. This obviates the need for storing search paths within the executable.
The LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable can be used to override the use of directories (or the order thereof) from the cache or to specify addi-tional directories where shared libraries might be found. LD_LIBRARY_PATH is a `:' separated list of directory paths that are searched by ld.so when it needs to load a shared library. It can be viewed as the run-time equivalent of the -L switch of ld.
