Hi all,
I've been a long-time user of Red Hat and Mandrake and decided to give Debian a try. I'm attempting to install version 3.0r1 on my Thinkpad 570e laptop. I have 2 NICs that I can't seem to find the correct modules for during install. I'm booting a from a CD that includes the 2.4 kernel and then I just want to do a web install. The cards are both 3Com and the models are 3CCE589ET and 3CXFE575BT. I thought the Vortex driver would work (it has in the past for other distributions) but no such luck. Would anyone happen to know what modules might work? I've searched the web but haven't really found any good information on this issue.
Thank you for the help.
From what I gather it seems you need to use the 3c575, and 3c589 modules accordingly. Check this website out for further details.
