md5sum with ls -R

i want to ake a one line command to generate checksums for every file on my machine , using ls -R and md5sum . i tried but no luck. i dont want to hear md5sum `ls -R` because it won't work when md5sum meets a directory. is outputing an error and is stopping

resolved . the problem it was ls i tried with find and it work fine
