KenHan,
I've never tried to get midi to work because I don't believe I have any midi files. If you could pass me one over perhaps I could see if I have it working on my machine or not. If not I'll see about helping you get this working together.
Does anyone know how to activate midi support on a slack 8.1 (sb-live)
machine ? My sound works great such as mp3 players and system sounds, but I cannot play midi files ... my intentions are to use sequencing programs and midi-equipment, so I need to get it to work but I am not sure how ...
checked the ALSA (http://www.alsa-project.org/) page but that doesn't help me cause I know to little about it to know what I am supposed to do![]()
Anyone have a clue on how to do it ?
thanks in advance ..

The best way I've found is to download, compile and install TiMidity++ and it's intrument files. It's a bit of a hassle, but once it is installed and working, you can play MIDI files, no problem.Originally Posted by KenHan
