pengaol for AOL connecton

I am trying to connect to AOL through pengaol and it gets stuck up aftyer connecting..

By the time it provides me IP addresses and lists down 3-4 domain name servers, it hangs.

What should I do to get connected to AOL?

I am using Slackware 8.1
