microsoft wheel mouse and RH8.0

Can anyone point me to the right place where I can find some info how to get my ms wheel mouse working in redhat 8.0?

well you found it, and it is a simple solution. You must edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config file. open that file in your favorite text editor, as the SU of course, then find the following section:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"

(that is just what the top two lines are)

make sure that you have two options these two options:

Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"

and

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"


That should do it. I am kinda suprised Psyche didn't do that automatically, oh well. :P : 8)
