I have never heard of linux certification. I have never heard of companies asking for linux certification either.
Do you want to do it to get more knowledge or because of the certificates? because the latter i think is not much worth.
Hello everyone, this is my first post. I think this is a great site.
Has anyone tried any linux certification paths? I'm converting from m$ to linux and would like get certified. I bought the Sair Linux and GNU certification book for level 1 Installation and Configuration. Any advice? What are the test like? Are there any sites dedicated to certification? Has anyone here done certification?
Thanks.

Thanks alastair. Since I asked this question I found a whole book on linux certification. It looks like there's about 10 different companies that have it. I'm looking to really learn linux not just get a certification. But, a certification can't hurt you in any way.
lol, Seems like a funny question to me. i like the current system of people being good by reputation. Oh well, good to hear that companies seem to have this sort of thing, keeps me from messing up there stuff, lol
