I have a linux system for which I am facing some problems:
1) The system has 2 network cards which linux detects properly at the time of booting and is also able to configure them. After the systems boots up...it is not able to communicate through the cards. It is not even able to ping even to its own IP address and even the local host address displays the message "network unreachable". The situation is same with both the network cards.
2) The file permissions of some of the command files in /bin and /sbin directories like ls, ps, ifconfig, netstat have changed to 700 and even the administrator i.e. root is unable to change the permissions. The message displayed is "operation not allowed" whereas the owner and group of those files is also root.
Can anyone help!!
Thanking you in advance
