DCC on Xchat - can't send/recieve

I use Xchat to hang out on the GLO channel. For some reason that hasn't come to me yet, i can't send or receive. here is what i have done so far:

In Xchat:
-under setup>IRC>IP Address> i have entered my DCC IP
address
-under setup>DCC>File transfer> i have entered the first and last send ports


On the router(linksys 4-port):
-i have adjusted the port filtering settings to open the first and last send ports i entered into Xchat. i also sent those ports to my specific LAN IP (#/sbin/ifconfig eth0
inet addr:192.168.1.101)

If anyone knows what i am missing, please feel free to help :P

how bout the redhat iptables.
i think you'll have to change something there, JimH will be able to elaborate on it more

Well why didn't i have to deal with IPtables before??? In valhalla, it wasn't an issue.

what security level did you set when you installed?
or were you too wasted to remember... :P :P :P ;D ;D
