    RH8 & Menu Editor

I just bought and installed RH8 and I can't find a way to edit the menu or change the icon and font sizes on the desktop. Where did the Menu Editor go?

I also don't see Terminal (Superuser Mode) or File manager (Superuser Mode) in the Menu. I really liked them.

I also installed Star Office 6.0 and it didn't show up in the menu, even after shutting down X and restarting it. Not even after a reboot.

No multimedia (I understand the reasoning). The only thing I like so far is the font support and clean desktop look.

I am honestly thinking of going back to RH 7.3!

    Am I missing something??? ???

    KDE? Gnome?

The GUI menu editor in Gnome 2 was not stable until Gnome 2.0.2. Red Hat 8 is based on 2.0.1. You can probably expect to see it released as an upgrade in the future. Until then you have to manually edit it. AFAIK the KDE menu editor is still there.

SO 6 is not yet aware of the new menu layout used in Gnome 2. I don't have KDE installed. Since I don't have a copy of SO 6...

With the number of MAJOR updates in 8.0, there are going to be "speed bumps" along the way.
