    kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe

during boot i get the following erromessage:
    kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno = 2

I do have a SCSI CDROM but it works fine on the AIC7XXX driver that gets loaded. I have no idea what causes the error. Anybody any ideas?

Harmless error that Red Hat needs to fix. I see the same thing on my boxes. Must be low priority since it doesn't apparently harm anything. This error message has been around since the first beta of 7.3. :P

I should open a new bugzilla report on it.

How about an error-DB for GLO? There are plenty of known errors people run into when starting off with linux. Like modprobe, FAM, etc.

If you need help coding i can help.

Yeah, something like a commonly seen error message FAQ or something along those lines. I have thought about that before.
