Saving KMail

I recently buggered up SuSE Linux (like you do when expermenting). I started using KMail as my primary e-mail client a month or two ago, switching over from Outlook Express. Now I can't access my mail.

I have copied my ~/Mail folder to my VFAT segment but I don't know how to extract the information. Are there any tools for converting KMail format? I don't mind if its just plain text, I just need the information (usernames and passwords, etc.)

Please help.

I don't know if there is a tool like that for Windows, however I do know that since you have your Mail dir saved, that if you were to re-install Linux. You could place the Mail dir back in your home dir, and have KMail use it without any problems.

Also since KMail is in mbox format I think? It might have changed, it's been a very long time since I've used it. Possibly Eudora could read it.

I don't know of any utils to convert kmail to something winders can use, but i suppose at worst case, you could reinstall linux and setup kmail and then mail yourself everything that you have in there.
