Hey mcangeli, is the 'Knoppix 3.8 for Windows' on LT the full bootable Knoppix version? Or is this the one that will either boot via Qemu under Windows or as a clean boot?

when you 'autorun' it under Windows. Does what Klaus intended if you boot it.

i didnt realize knoppix could be run in windows, can this be run off of a flash drive

Chris, thanks for the reply. That is awesome, I will probably try and get it tonight. Seems that Qemu has been getting alot of exposure lately. I just found out about it about a month ago.

Oh god dammit! I just downloaded Knoppix 3.7 like an hour ago! When will they get rid of the option to boot into a 2.4.x kernel? Does it have KDE 3.4

Hmm, I can get either Knoppix 3.8 or KANOTIX 2005-1 to boot in QEMU under Windows XP. Some obscure system error. I will report more as I figure things out.

Knoppix 3.8 should have had KDE 3.4. KDE 3.3 is old school and lacks the pisazz of KDE 3.4

Had it DLed for a few days but didn't burn a CD until today.

As a live CD there is nothing to complain about. That on an almost 4 year old HP Pavilion. Over the weekend I shall inherit my wifes old lap top and will start to learn Linux wireless, That will be reported on ASAP.

If there is anyone that doesn't have broadband PM me with an address and I will burn/ship one to ya!
