    Mandrake 9.0 R.C. Beta

I am using Mandrake 8.2. I was wondering, if I have two hard drives and Mandrake 8.2 is on the master, and the slave is empty, could I install Mandrake 9.0 beta on the slave drive and use Lilo to boot between 8.2 and 9.0 as if they were two totally completely separate OS's.? Which they are in a way, but I mean to do this just to be able to check out the Beta without fully commiting to changing everything over from 8.2 just yet. Just like a dual boot system.
