    Windows to Linux sharing

I'm having a similar problem with windows to linux sharing... I have samba up and running. And I tried the command posted in an earlier thread :

    mount -t smbfs -o username=anonymous,password= //Raver/D /mnt/ftp/D

but when I send the command I get:

    timeout connecting to <outside ip>:139
Error connecting to <outside ip> (Operation already in progress)
    8448: Connection to Raver failed
    SMB connection failed

I've even tried replacing "Raver" with my internal ip for the 2k machine. Where I get this error:

8500: tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnosuchshare (You specified an invalid share name)
    SMB connection failed

The linux server is running Redhat 7.3. Just curious on what needs to be done on the 2k machine for access to be allowed.
    I'm stumped as a chump.

try getting rid of the -o user, pass
also, check that the doze share name is right, is it a lowercase d?

Did you enable Red Hat's firewall when you installed? If you did it is probablly blocking port 139.
