    open office access

Newbie here...I just installed Open Office, and it looks all nice, and the folder is in my home folder and so on...
But I can't get Open office to start! I can get various little things to start, like theprinter configuration, but I can't find the program for the main set up.
Can someone please tell me the file name, or where the shortcut showed up (if there is one?)

    Thank you
    Martina

    ((running Mandrake 8.2 and Gnome))

    Re:open office access

    read the instructions lol.

open command prompt and type ./soffice (might have to be in the installation dir- cant remember)

after that i saw a shortcut in the StartApplication menu whe i used KDE

But i dont know which came first the chicken or the egg?

Otherwise create a shortcut and get it to execute ./soffice
Its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you havent done :P
