My dear wife just got an Averatec 3250HX
Thats a little 12" model. Before buying I popped a Knoppix Live CD in and rebooted. That laptop just loves Linux.
And the VERY nervous clerk was rewarded with the CD, eh?

Diamond plate would be very heavy, but look very cool, indeed  . I like that wooden one. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase crack open a woody :w00t: .
