    Installing Debian thru windows network

On Spot's advice i have installed debian on the computer that i am running at School.
This is on an NT 4.0 network.
I can't get the internet going thru to the machine, and need it for apt-get.
does anyone know how to set up the settings thru a windows proxy server because i just can't get it working....
