You might look into the gimp-print deal in the CUPS printing system.
Hi there,
I'm a Linux-newbie. I installed ELX-linux (great!) a few days ago, but I can't print.
I installed my CANON BCJ-3000 and was able to print a beautiful testpage. I can also print with Kview.
When I try to print in Gimp, nothing happens, even though I see a canon-driver when I start Gimp. I can't print in Openoffice too. (Only when I use the generic driver, but the outcome is awfull).
When I look in the CUPS-logfile I get something like
"resource "/printer/canon" no good!"
Please help me, because I want to keep using ELX!
Thanx!

Hi!
Could you be a bit more specific?
I'm a newbie, you know.
I switched to mandrake 8.0 (had it laying around)
but still no action with Gimp. When I select a starting and
ending banner, the banners are printed, but not the gimp-image!
What can I do?
Thanks very much!
Spot meant maybe you should look into the gimp-print drivers. Here's a link to the site: http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/Originally Posted by Gommans
I don't use Mandrake, but maybe they have an rpm file for the gimp-print drivers. Take a look at the cds you have or just browser rpmfind.net for it.
