    An Introductory to C

For those of us that are new to linux and haven't done any programming in the past, a good place to start may be learning, since linux was built from it. i have just finished a summer course at my university and have all the assignments, testfiles and correct outputs. if anyone would be interested in learning about C, then give them a try. it is very likely that you will have to get a book, or look into online resources, but then, being the motivated people that linux people are, this should be no biggie. Look into the O'Reilly series, or K&R(or maybe it is K&M), they are great books to reference to. so, in closing, C is a good way to get an understanding of linux, and reply here for more info.
    :P :P ;D ;D

If you want to learn C, get K&R. It assumes basic understanding of programming, but the basics are so simple it doesn't really matter. K&R is the "alias" for "The C Programming Language" by Kernighan and Ritchie. Kernighan being the creater of C, and Ritchie being one of the creators of Unix. Definatley and excellent read. I've read through the book many times, and the exercises are a great way to learn. It's definately worth getting. The only thing you would need after learning C from K&R is a reference guide for extra libraries, etc.

If you're saying "where have I been", I was installing 8.1. Plus doing some other stuff.

I'll be programming again right quick... hopefully much more then before, as I suck at it :P
