    RTCW graphic settings

I have had RTCW working for awhile now on Linux. It works beautifully under Linux. The thing I've been wondering about is I have every graphic setting maxed out all the way. I mean 32 bit coler tri-linear, 1280x1024 resolution, everything. This game just seems to run to fast and smooth to have evrything set high like that. Are these settings actually acurate in Linux to what they are set on. I was just noticing recently that when looking off into the distance the trees looked almost like a negative from film. Also the water didn't look all that good either, not like it should with all of the graphic settings all the way up. I just noticed that under Windows with everything set all the way up like that the game ran a little sluggish. I never played through the game very far in Windows so I really didn't have anything to compare it to. I am using a GeForce3 64MB, AMD Athlon 850, 512MB PC133 RAM.

idn, maybe try turning them all down and playing. you are using a pretty powerful card, so i wouldn't doubt it. also, linux isn't the kind of OS to bullshit you like that, so you will prabbly notice a diffence, though it may top off after a while..

    Hey,

I was wondering where do you get RTCW for Linux? Or do you just have to run it under wine?

I heard that there was a native Linux version, but I can't seem to find it.

    Thanks,

http://planetwolfenstein.com/files/files.shtml should have just about everything you need (along with the game CD). You might also want to check the FAQs on id's website.
