    VOIP Phone

Anyone use VOIP as their primary house phone? I am really thinking about getting into it but I want some feedback from others that have used it. Good, bad, doesn't matter, lets hear it. I am thinking about going with Vonage right now. Looks pretty good and you can't beat the monthly rates when compared to regular residential service.

    Anybody?

We're using the official Skype phone. It has analog as well, so we do both. Works pretty damn well. Gonna set up a dedicated phone station so skype will be running 24/7 as well.

You can use Skype for free if you use the Skype to Skype feature. If you want to call normal numbers, you need to buy SkypeCredits, and call. It's still VERY much cheaper than normal phones.

We're using both SkypeCredits and ISDN.

We use Skype here at the office for some of our international clients (saves a shitload and a half when making those frequent calls to asia) It work pretty well, most of the time, but sometimes it stumbles a bit, all in all very useful. We also have some proprietary IP phone system that will connect to our office phone system via broadband which, other than the ungodly price, is perfect.
