    Turn on/off Startup Programs

How do you turn on/off programs in startup. For example: Program that I would like to turn off - RedHat checks for new hardware. Program that I would like to turn on - Samba.

Thanks again for your continued support!

You can also use the included chkconfig command. The man page for it is pretty straightforward.

At the command prompt type : setup

go into services.(space bar changes the service on or off)

    smb is samba
kudzu is checking for new hardware
Its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you havent done :P
