You probably used the wrong kernel config. Look here.

When I was trying to enable ntfs support to my kernel I got to the last step from the guide on this site:
/sbin/depmod -a
I got that error, what can I do to get around it.

And what exactly do I do to switch to the correct config?
You need to find out what kernel you have installed now. As the other thread mentioned.
What does this show:
rpm -q --qf '%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{ARCH}\n' kernel
and/or this:
cat /var/log/rpmpkgs | grep kernel
and
uname -r

kernel version is 2.4.18-5
Sigh. I know what kernel version you are running. That is not what I need to know.Originally Posted by Micahizme
Please post the output of the commands I posted before, so I can tell you what you need to do.

1st command returned:
kernel2.4.18athlon
kernel.2.4.18athlon
2nd
kernel-2.4.18-3.athlon.rpm
kernel-2.4.18-5.athlon.rpm
kernel-source-2.4.18-5.i386.rpm
3rd
2.4.18-5
You need to use the athlon kernel config.
/usr/src/linux-2.4.18-5/configs/kernel-2.4.18-athlon.config
How to do load the correct config is in the article. Is there something specific in it you don't understand?
