I don't remeber where you change that. I just don't use KDE that often. I go weeks without using it.

I am using KMail and when I click on a link in an email it pulls up Kongueror. Where do I make the change to pull up Netscape when I click on a link? Thanks.

Ok, thanks JimH. Do you use Gnome?
Some progress to report: I got the links in Kmail to open Netscape, but...it just goes to my homepage, not the actual link...so I will keep working on it.
Hey mugs,
The command you are looking for is :
netscape -remote 'openURL(%s,raise)'
or
netscape `%s`
The former opens it in a new netscape session I believe.
I haven't tested this mind you, because I don't run KDE, Kmail, nor Netscape. I just remembered about it, because I remember changing my Sylpheed mailer to open links in Opera by default isntead of netscape.
Anyway, I hope that works for you. If it does, let us know.
Aaron
thanks Aaron, I will give it a try tonight. You did see my last post that I got it to open Netscape, a new window, but it just sits at the home page...
Aaron, those settings are in Sylpheed. Still, in KMail, it opens Netscape, but it just sits at my default home page. In the past it opened Konquerer, and went to the right place. I will keep plugging away.
Hmmm, when I set it to Opera, it goes to the correct page...weird.
I assumed that the command syntax would be part of the actual netscape command line command, rather then sylpheed specific.
I guess I look around some more![]()
