Gateway routing daemon. gated handles multiple routing protocols and replaces routed and any routing daemons that speak the Hello, EGP, or BGP routing protocols. gated currently handles the RIP, BGP, EGP, Hello, and OSPF routing protocols and can be configured to perform all or any combination of the five.
